Lesson ten

On our 10th lesson we finished the assignment that we started on our 9th lesson.
After that we started to talk about Civil Rights Movement. Every student has had his/her's own subtitle that has something to do with Civil Rights Movement. Mine was The Little Rock Nine. We had written about our own subject in our blogs before and now we presented them shortly. After that we listened a song by Billie Holiday. The song's name was Strange Fruit and it protested the lynching of African Americans. I thought that the song was very touching.

Lesson nine

We started our lesson with group presentations about different regions in U.S.A. I was absent when the presentations were made so I just listened other people's presentations.
 After that we started to do an assignment about immigration in U.S.A. On my opinion the assignment was a bit difficult because it contained reading an article and I didn't quite understand everything that was said in the article.
 What I learned on this lesson is that how many immigrants there really are in the U.S.A. I also learned that U.S.A can be divided in different regions. Before I just thought that there were only different states and I have never before heard anything about New England for example.
